Abstract
Take a little time to delve into the details of the new ISTH guidelines for testing in Protein C deficiency (2020 and 2022) and Protein S deficiency (2021)! We will go through some of the currently available clinical and assay specific information that helped to inform these guidelines in the setting of the commonly recommended approach to thrombophilia testing in venous thromboembolism. We will also discuss some of the challenges and critiques of these current algorithms.
