Abstract
The diagnosis and management of heparin induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is associated with high risk and high resource utilization. In this session, Dr. May will discuss opportunities to develop targeted interventions that improve clinical outcomes and optimize system-level care. In addition, she will illustrate how efforts to improve HIT care can be used to demonstrate the meaningful and measurable benefit of Antithrombosis Stewardship.
